my new online article about Friday Harbor, WA

Previously, I posted some online travel articles and photos that included travel on C-Dories. I'd posted links to them on here, and several of you have read them. But the site I'd written for closed to that type of writing, went to entertainment only--about concerts, rock stars, etc., shutting down my previous work. But I've found a new venue that I like (WanderWisdom, a niche site of HubPages), and I've rewritten the article about Friday Harbor, WA, and how to get there--by private boat (C-Dory), ferry, plane, or seaplane. I've changed it somewhat to fit their specs, and I like it better than the original.

So here's a link to the new article and photos -- http://hub.me/al1mc. Please check it out! Let us know what you think. And if anything needs tweaking, please point it out. Some of you may see photos of YOUR boats included. That was one of our favorite trips!

(Also, you can check my website, www.TravelswithJanda.com, for links to a couple of other travel articles -- one to Venice, Italy, and the other to Machu Picchu in Peru, with more to come.)

Janda,

I tried the link but it goes to a home page with no search capability, not to your story. HELP, and I can take a look. Friday harbor is almost in my front yard.

Thanks a lot, Harvey, for posting that other link. I'm glad you shared that. The shorter link is just supposed to be more convenient, but I guess the period at the end of the sentence threw it off. I'll repost it here, without the period, see if that helps others who want to use it.

You're really fortunate (or smart) to live in that beautiful area. I know Sequim too. Awesome! Especially for a C-Brat! Enjoy! :-)

(Do you see anything in my article that isn't correct? If so, please let me know because 'd like to change it.)

I appreciate the kind words from you two! You have been our inspiration since we were with y'all on Lake Powell in about 2008! We'll never "catch up" with you, as far as distance traveled or exciting experiences, but you helped us set our sights on places we might never have thought of! And the reports y'all have posted were fabulous; they read like a story book leading the children--even in our sixties--off to Neverland! :-) Thank you, thank you! Hope to see you down the road!

Janda,

Great article, and yes all good. Thanks for writing about the PNW cruising areas. Seems like all the magazines only know the right coast.

Enjoy the traveling and keep up the writing.

Harvey, thanks for your encouragement; two of my favorite activities are traveling and writing! Wish we'd started earlier in the C-Dory, but we spent lots of years traveling in cars, tenting. Then we went by Honda Gold Wing. Then SUV, sea kayak, and tent. Then a small sailboat. And then See-Saw, our 16' C-Dory, often towed by our pickup and camper. So we had to evolve, as have many of the C-Brats! (And of course, there were other fun trips, flying to different locales in four continents, including this one.) So our bucket list is much shorter than it was!

We love all THREE coasts, including the Gulf; they're all different. But the C-Dory LOVES the West Coast, its home! And the San Juans are just fabulous!

We do plan to keep going! Hope you do too!
