My career as a wannabe is over -- I finally bought my boat

After more than eight years of toying with buying a C-dory, I finally aligned the stars and bought a 2006 Cape Cruiser 23 from Lopez Island. Go me!

My intent is to go pick it up in early May. It would be great to see you all at the Friday Harbor CBrats Gathering, but I will have to pass due to scheduling conflicts. (Momma isn't all that happy with the purchase in the first place, and she'd be a lot less happy if I missed Mother's Day bringing the boat home!)

I look forward to this new chapter!

Congratulations Wannabe-nomore. I saw that boat listed for sale a few weeks ago, and I'm happy she found a loving home in California. I hope you have many memorable adventures.

Congratulations on your purchase. What a perfect Mother's Day celebration this could be to bring your wife up to the PNW waters and spend time with the C-Brats family and for you both to get to know your new boat better up here. Tell your wife that we are proud of you for being patient and diligent to make a dream happen with this purchase. We would love to meet you both at Friday Harbor with the C-Brats gathering in May. FH is a great place to celebrate Mother's Day.

Congratulations. That’s huge! Your forthcoming boating experience will definitely make you happy. The wife will eventually understand because time works in her favor. Acquiring the boat will create an amazing shared experience when she discovers all the enjoyment possible. Make the most out of this new chapter because you should attend a C-Brats event sooner rather than later.

Congratulations on the new to you C-Dory. I have owned mine for a year and a half and dream of spending much more time cruising all over the Puget Sound, Inside Passage, and the PNW.

People on this site are beyond awesome and will help you with any questions you might have regarding your new baby.

The great thing about a cabin (Your Boat) for the ladies is the heater :thup . This makes almost everything else not matter quite as much.

Learn to be a world class chef with the Wallas, and you will always be in good graces, and high demand at the dock, or marina...LOL.

Again, congratulations. I saw that boat on Craigslist. I thought it would not last as long as it did.

Took me 12 years of looking to finally find mine. I checked the C-Brats regularly for years looking for one in my price range. I found mine in Bend, OR, Well worth the drive there and pulling the "C-Handler home to WA.
