Mrs Byrd suffers brain aneurysm

Patrick, Mike and family,

We are so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. Our sincere condolences to you and your family.

Ruth and Joe

I sit here now relived that Mom has passed. Has been a tough couple/few days knowing to go have fun spirit Mom had, only to watch her in bed for the past few days. I think Bill/Ell/Haylcyon took the picture of her doing her Titanic gig on the bow of the Orgacy cruise we took in the Seattle Harbor area......just days after one of her runs thru an emergency room. She loved to laugh, and laughed to love. Many thanks to our C-Brat friends and family for your kind words. As you see an snow falling, or, cruise past Mile Marker 236 left bank descending on the Cumberland River, honk your horn, blow your whistle,. raise a toast to Momma Byrd.......as.... she would charish the thoughts of love and great times on the water.
Byrdman and Family....
Thanks Gang!! Cheers from The Byrd Family....Thanks for the good times you gave my Mom!!

Sorry to hear momma Byrd passed. It's a very tough thing to go thru for all. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. She was loved by many as is obvious thru the postings and that is a great comfort. She also brought joy to those who knew her. One can't ask for much more. Be comforted, Namaste

We are saddened but also moved by how blessed you are to have made such wonderful memories at every chance you had.

Mike

Godspeed to her and condolences to you and yours.
From experience I can tell you that you can accept the loss, but you will never really get over it. There will be too many things to remind you of her. When I am on my boat, I see the lines my father braided (though most are looking a little worse for the wear) and other touches he added, and I feel he is still with me in a way.

Patrick and Family,

I never had the opportunity to meet Mama Byrd, but that's my loss.

Her spirit is alive in each of you. Lucky You.

As time goes by, as Nainu suggested, her Spirit will come across to each of you at different times and in different ways, but her spirit will manifest itself in time. Watch ... listen; Be patient.

You will begin to notice things that had been meaningless, before. Her favorite candlesticks, the salt & pepper shaker's she always insisted be on the Thanksgiving table, the mittens she knitted for your fourth birthday, or that favorite place she liked to have breakfast. ALL those are treasures you will hold Close. Enjoy them.

According to my belief system you are mourning now; she is not. Mama Byrd is still chatting and catching-up with all the 'kin who've gone before, and basking in the time when you'll all be together again. Wow, talk about a Byrd Family Reunion!

On second thought, You're the luck one's; to be left with decades of favorite memories and recollections. Be Happy.

These thoughts may seem strange to some folks, but they're sent your way with warmth and affection.

Best,
Casey

Pat. & Mike, We are thinking of you and your family very much, we enjoyed the time we came to Mama Byrds house for the C-Dory Cruise, she made us fill like family also. You all are in our Thoughts & Prayers. (Jim & Sandy)

Patrick and the Byrd Family,

Cheryle and I are both so sorry and very sad to hear of Mom Byrd's passing. She was a great lady who conveyed a warmth and kindness to everyone in her life. We have and will keep fond memories of her during our brief stay at her home during the April 2007 Cumberland gathering and our trip to Mt Juliet to help celebrate a recent birthday.
She had a special way of making you feel at home any time you visited.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.

Pat-Very sorry to hear of your Mothers passing. I enjoyed meeting her at one of our gatherings in Seattle. I know you were blessed by having her guidance thru the years.

Thanks to all for the many kind thoughts, notes, words, calls, emails and visits. I just wanted to take a second and let you know that over $2,000 was donated in honor of Mamma Byrd from C-Brats alone to the Mount Juliet Big Brothers organization. This organization's aid to children and families stays in the 37122 zip code area is 100% to the cause with 0% administrative or any other kinds of fees. What is given goes right to work in the community....100% of it.

This just speaks for our extended C-Brat family.

I want to extend a special thanks to all our C-Brat family from our family. I have not yet been back out on ALOYSIUS yet, and simply just can not go there just yet but I soon will and maybe we can have a little C-Brat gathering and party out of it.

Hope to see some of yall soon.

Many Thanks again.

I too have enjoyed and learned from your many posts from the earliest years of this site - Godspeed and the very best of luck going forward.

What a great way to start my day. Yep, a little over 3 years ago now and much has changed and even more remains the same.

WOW - 3years ago now. Just last night at 3pm myself, 5 siblings and just spouses had dinner at Mom's on the lake. It is time to turn the page, cast the lines and joyfully get underway. Mom's lake house is now for sale. We had a great time last night, but I have to say, it was like we all felt that some other nautical thought based family fills the home again with laughter & Joy.

Mom would love for some C-Brat kick the life back into here wonderful lake home. Not real sure why this post was brought back to life right now, but damn, the timing of it all.

Through it all I have kept ALOYSIUS, and am beginning to enjoy myself on her again. Thanks to several Puget Sound Brats for helping me with the transition time this and last year. She is now back in TN...but looking at the gatherings we have not yet made.

May every C-Brats 2015 be blessed & Thanks again to you all.
