Ivan,

If the 2005 CD 19 is anything like the 2005 CD 22, you should be able to get to the bottom of the gunnel. Here's how I mounted my Cannons.

I did have flush mount rod holders that I covered with the mahogany, through bolted on the gunnel.

The later model 19 anglers have a panel on the side of the gunnel and foam behind it. If you want to mount the down riggers forward of the lazarettes, you need to cut a hole in the panel dig out some foam so you can reach under to hold the bolts and back plates and then cover the holes with a round deck plate (or similar). I believe that's what Checkpoint did on his boat. Otherwise you can mount them on the far aft corners, aft of the lazarettes. That's where I put them on my previous 22.

Dont be afraid to mount them a bit forward. When standing in the cock pit I kinda like to reach the ball and cable without leaning way overboard. Its a ergonomic thang.

Cheers!

Rick, to the left of your fishbag, it looks like you have a manual bilge pump. What model? I've been talking about doing this for a couple of years. Looks like the exhaust goes out the side, where did you put the pickup (at the bilge drain?)?

Bill, that is a great solution!

The pump says Bosworth on the handle. It was already installed when we bought the boat. The intake is in the bilge pump depression at the transom. Sure works great.
