We had a couple of people from the Port of Bremerton as guests at our Yacht Club meeting last night in Sequim. Bremerton Marina has undergone a 25 Million dollar revamp. C-Cakes and Dreamer stayed there last Winter coming home from the South Sound CBGT. We were very impressed at the facilities and surrounding ammenities.

They are now about 45% full due to the downturn in boating overall. Needless to say, they are actively soliciting moorage customers as well as group events like the Tug Nuts Rendezvous and possible CBGT.

The deal that impressed me was with a years paid moorage, you get months 13,14,15 and 16 at $.01 per month!

If I lived in that area, I'd be all over that.

We keep Aurelia across the inlet at Port Orchard Marina and they offered some similar incentives this winter during the boat show. They unfortunately did not apply to exising tenants.

They also switched fuel over to E10 late last month

We are really liking Port Orchard Marina after 6 months.

My brother Gary (some of you me him @ FH) works for the Bremerton Marinas. He told me last year they lost a lot of moored boats, some of them LARGE, at Bremerton. He theorized it was because of the lack of infrastructure, restaurants, shopping, places to visit etc in the city itself. The marina itself, is first rate.
