Mary Ellen upgrades

After looking at the 2005 22' cruiser at the 2005 Seattle Boat Show I new I was in trouble. I liked the hand rails on the inside of the cabin and really liked the new cabinet doors with teak. I talked to both Les from E.Q. Sales and Scot from C-dory about the changes. Well I am happy to report that the Mary Ellen now has new cabinet fronts, no ice box and a new shelve and door. I took the Mary Ellen up to C-dory last Friday and three hours later job complete. As usual a fine job done by the factory at a fair price. Les kindly shipped me the hand rails and in 15 minutes after UPS arrived they were installed. Last Saturday we launched at Swantown Olympia and cruised up to Jarrel Cove for lunch. Nice trip with perfect weather. Only two other boats at the state park. I am always amazed how small changes seem to inprove an already great boat. Posted photos on page 3 for view. Happy boating, Big Mac.

At first I thought your tale led to the sale of Mary Ellen and purchase of a new 25. Instead, you just adopted some nifty ideas.

CM - I made the same mistake, and had to go back to reread. I think there is a psychotechnical term for Big Mac's chosen, consciously or not, syntax (2005 22...2005). Don't know what the term is, but the symptoms are very much like the "threefootitus" malady discussed regularly. Nevertheless, he sure added some neat touches to his already neat boat.

I wonder if in 2008 folks will be grabbing up the "proposed' all new 28 footer

Big Mac, I do like those doors on the new boats, how much did those set you back if I may ask?
