Marine Decraguard available in single sheets.

I am starting a new thread about the Marine Decraguard. I know many of you have expressed interest in it in the past. It is the material used in the C-Dory for the cabinets. Info on it is HERE. It is virtually impossible to buy it by the sheet.

A couple of days ago I posted the following on another thread on this site.

It has been a month negotiating a deal for the Decraguard but it is done and I have some extra sheets I can sell to any C-Brat that wants a sheet or half a sheet. My cost is $105.00 a sheet and that is what your cost will be if you pick it up. If you want a half sheet, I will charge a $10.00 cutting fee so your cost will be $62.50. You can pick it up at our warehouse in Olympia or at Tern Boat Salvage in Kent WA, the old C-Dory plant when the Toland family was building the C-Dory. This deal is ONLY for C-Brat members.

What I have ordered is the ¾ inch white Decraguard, finished on both sides. It will be the end of next week or early the following week before it is delivered to us.

Once we start production of our boat, we will have odds & ends from time to time that we will sell also, but that will be a few months down the road.

If anybody wants some let me know. Right now, I can get as many sheets as I want at this price but I can’t guarantee the price in the future.

Everything I ordered is spoken for, (did not think it would go so fast). If anyone else wants any within the next few months, let me know ASAP and I will increase my order, otherwise it will be Late April or May before I have any extra.

Tom – I will order a couple of extra sheets for you. You can pick them up whenever you have the time. If I don’t order them now, I will not have any extra ones until late April or May. If you only want one sheet, it will give me an extra one in case someone else decides they want one.

Dave - I probably won't be needing any but I really want to thank you for this offer. Decraguard at cost and friendship for free. Thank you.

Mike

Dave, I could use two sheets if they are available. It would be easier for me to pick up material in Kent.

Thanks for the offer.

Dave, per our PM I will want to pick it up in Kent. Coming from the north, it just makes sense. Honestly, it'll probably be after the new year though, as I just don't seem to have enough time of late. Hope that's not a problem. Thanks again for your leg work and offer to sell 'em to us for cost. The few cabinet improvements I have in mind will look original now.

If Tom wants his sheets, I can pick them up and he can come get them from my house; he knows where I live and since I'm down there...You two can work out the payment.

Dave,

I would like 2 sheets, cut in half (4--4x4). I don't need them until the weather warms here in MT. Planning to be in Seattle for the boat show in Jan & could pick them up then or later--Mar/April. The Kent location would be best. If you PM me your address, I will send you a ck now. Thanks much.

John

The crew of Daydream would like a full sheet. The Kent PU venue works for us. We plan on having some work done when the weather warms up. Thanks for this, Dave.

Looks like more people than I thought want some. I will increase my order to a full unit (44 sheets). This will cover everyone here and those that PMed or emailed me and still give me a few extra sheets.

Roger, I did not get your email but will reserve a sheet for you.

I would like to see the members that don’t live in the NW be able to get some also. Maybe we can make a list of the people out of the area that want a sheet and if another member is going to be in the NW with a PU, they could take it back with them. Don’t know for sure if this will work but it is a possibility. Check or cash is OK.

At this time I do not want to keep track of who has paid and who has not, so just pay when you pick it up. I will let you know when it is ready to be picked up.

Mike thank you. This site has been a great asset for me. Most of the members contribute to the site just by being a member and participating in the forums so this is my way of paying you, Bill and them back. When they pick it up they will be invited to check out our new boat. Ben says it will be ready in February but I think it will probably be March. It seems like the closer we get to finishing the boat the farther away it is.

You are in good company -- think 787! :xnaughty

Is the boat being build in the Kent facility?

Update on the Decraguard.

Olympic Panel shut down for the holidays and are just starting back up. I am told my order should be ready within two weeks. As soon as I receive it, I will let all of you know by PM or email, if I have your email address. There is no rush for you to get it. You are welcome to do it when you are ready for it and you can pay when you pick it up. The only thing I ask is you let me know in advance so Ben or I can be there. It would not be fair to John Hiram to ask him to have one of his employees stop their work to get it for you.

I will be picking up the Decraguard on Tuesday afternoon, so it will be available for anyone that wants it Wednesday afternoon on the 27th of January 2010 or thereafter. Most weekends the shop will be closed but if that is the only time available for you to pick it up, let me know and something can be worked out.

Seeing as most of you prefer to pick it up at Kent vs Olympia, it will be at

Tern Boat Salvage
25028 Pacific Hwy S
Kent, WA 99032
(253) 946-9916

If anyone wants it in the Olympia area or South to Portland and East to The Dalles, Oregon area, call/PM/email me for arrangements to get it in or between those areas.

Anyone that has indicated they want some, let me know you have seen this notice and I will not bother sending you a PM or email.

Dave,

I know I should probably get some but I'm not that crafty. Just want to say thanks for making the offer available here. You're a cool guy. We are looking forward to seeing the new boat too.

Thank you Mark and Roger for the quick response.

Roger – I will be going to the SBS CBGT and have offered to rent an executive suite for Ben Toland and his brother Mack Toland if they will come and their girlfriends. Mack is now working with Ben to Finish the boat and I thought all the C-Brats would like to ask questions about the boat and many would like to talk to the Tolands about the C-Dory line of boats especially the origins of the boats. Might not ever be able to get two Tolands together at the same time, at one of our get to gathers again.

Dave,

Thanks for the update. It doesn't look like I will be able to make it out for the SBS & CBGT. Hopefully late Feb or Mar. I'll let you know later exactly when I'll be out--no problem making it during the week. Thanks again.

John
