Maltese Falcon in SF Bay

Don't think it is the largest privately owned yacht in the world, (Unless Paul Allen has gone government or something) but it may be the largest private Sail yacht. What ever, it is very impressive, especially for a single hander(?) :wink

CNET news is reporting that the Maltese Falcon is scheduled to embark for an unknown destination on Wednesday, November 5th. They do not state the time, but it was reported that that they waited for low tide to go under the Golden Gate Bridge when they entered, and daytime low tide will be 11:00 am at the Gate.

The Maltese Falcon is a beautiful boat, combining art deco styling with state-of-the-art furlers and other electronics which allow her to be a single hander despite her size. Even if you're not into boats, and just into art, she is well worth visiting. Do be careful to give a little room; they are probably concerned about small boats after one crashed into them earlier this month.(Yachting Monthly article) (Latitude 38 article)
