Today, Iowa Care Package, Inc. Needs mailing addresses of deployed military in combat zones around the world.

Iowa Care Package, Inc. is a totally volunteer, non political, non sectarian, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, dedicated to supporting deployed United States Service Men and Women in combat zones around the world with packages containing snacks, basic comfort items and letters of support.
NOTE: Soldiers in hospitals recovering from combat injuries will also receive “Iowa Care packages” as addresses are available.

Packaging and shipping:

Care packages are designed around USPS Flat Rate, Priority Mail Boxes which are furnished “at no charge” by the USPS (United States Parcel Service).

Volunteers:

All efforts of Iowa Care Package, Inc. are supported by volunteers and charitable contributions (Iowa Care Package, Inc. does not have employees).
 
Donations/Contributions:

Donations/contributions to Iowa Care Package, Inc. are tax deductible under section 170 of the code.

Iowa Care Package, Inc. is qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfer or gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the code.

Monetary donations will only be used to purchase goods for shipment (at wholesale prices or less, see Corporate Partners), shipping materials, supplies, postage and/or any other direct expenses involved to package and ship care packages to deployed Soldiers in combat zones or in hospitals recovering from combat injuries.

I have seen somewhere that if you address a package to "any soldier" at a specific APO or FPO (like a zip code), it will get there to a soldier/sailor, no particular one but I think it really does. Folks like "Dear Abbey" recommend that regularly.

You do not need a specific name. If anyone has any more info, please provide.

Thank you for your efforts with this project. As a former recipient of this type of care package, (from a long time ago) I can assure you that it is a worthy cause. We do support our troops. (Soldiersangles.org)
