Magazines?

The free Motorboating magazine I got for buying SBS tickets online last year is expiring (thank god!). So now that I know what kind of boat to get if I'm excessively wealthy and live in Florida I would like to come back to the Northwest with finding copies of Nor'westing and Trailer Boats magazines to read more about my own backyard and boat sizes.

But I have not found either of these magazines in the West Marine at Edmonds (they told me they've never heard of Nor'westing, but acknowledged the empty rack that said Nor'westing.. :crook ) nor at the large magazine racks at a grocery; and even couldn't find anything at Barns and Noble at Alderwood. Did something change with Nor'westing? I used to pick it up all the time at a West Marine in Fremont, CA but that was 10 years ago. I'd like to read something that talks about boating around here specifically and has good tutorials for us to learn from. Where can I find real copies? Nor'westing apparently doesn't have a website either. At least I can get a copy of Trailer Boats online. Any other magazine or periodical reading you think is good is appreciated also!

Thanks!
Matt

I like to read Northwest Yachting too.... and get it at West Marine...free..if you have a local West Marine ask the manager to get some...they have to ask to have them delivered... When my son had the store in Reno he did not get any until I asked him to check on it....once he asked they started to get regular deliverys of them.... but they go fast....so ya have to ask..
You can also subscrbe...it's $20 a year....(and well worth it) ...probably spend more than that in gas going looking for it....

I subscribe to Pacific Yachting, I guess it covers "around here". Unfortunately among the gems like the latest "How to navigate the lower Johnstone Strait" and "A Christmas cruise on the Sunshine Coast" are just too many ads. I am on the fence right now about letting my subscription lapse. I think from time to time there is US PNW content and often generic boat stuff for "around there" too.

Cheers - Dave
