Looking for a ride in a CD22 in the Seattle area Puget Sound

Hello C-Brats,

My husband and I have been looking at boats for a while, and we have come to the conclusion that the CD22 is most probably the right boat for us. But... we have never been in one. Before we start shopping for a CD22 in earnest, we would love to go out in one to confirm that it is indeed "The One".

So... we are hoping that a kindly, greater-Seattle-area C-Brat might be willing to take us out on the Puget Sound for a short ride sometime this fall. We would gladly buy you some gas, bring along some food or beverages, or whatever you like.

We live in Seattle, on the ship canal, on the salt water side of the locks. So if any of you plan on passing by in the next few weeks and wouldn't mind giving us a short demo and pep talk we'd be very grateful! We have a dock at our home in Salmon Bay, just west of the Ballard Locks, so it would be easy to pick us up and drop us off if you were coming from the freshwater side. Of course we would also be happy to drive to any other pickup point in the Puget Sound that is convenient for you.

We have flexible schedules and can often make weekdays work as well as weekends.

After all the research and studying the C-brats forum as though we had an exam to pass, we are very excited to actually go out on the Sound in a C-Brat!

Hi Diane. Welcome. I'm sure a nearby c brat will chime in soon to give a demo. Great boats and great people. My partner and I are moving aboard this week for full time travel. These boats are suitable for almost any type of boating you want except loud, fast adrenalin crazed style! Have fun. :thup George
 
George, my husband just spoke with Sam. We are going to find a time that works for both of us to get a ride on his boat. So very nice of him to offer! How exciting for you to be heading out for some full time travel on your boat! Once we get a boat we will mainly be taking day trips with the occasional weekend run. We're not looking for fast and loud, so we are hoping a CD22 should fit the bill.

Ferret30... very kind of you to offer to show us your boat too. Yes, we'd love to come see yours in person as we have never been on one... we've just watched them go by on the ship canal. I'll PM you our contact info in a minute.

Welcome to the C-Brats and enjoy that ride on a C-Dory where ever you get it. Might want to plan on coming to the winter C-Brat Get ToGether, January at the boat show. Might even see a boat, and for sure will meet a whole bunch of really nice folks.

But we are still all set for a ride with Sam on Sunday, so we will have to pass on your generous offer for now. Yes... we are planning to go to the Seattle boat show and are looking forward to meeting some of you there.
