I have a 2008 22 cruiser. What locations would I be safe to install 2 inspection ports in the cockpit floor?
Would I find open space or foam or both in there?
Is this a question for the factory?

This is the only area that has a second floor on my boat.

I would put your inspections plates at either end of your cockpit floor on centerline. I am not sure how Fluid Marine installed their floors, but I would think that it was similar to how I do mine, with supports running fore and aft on either side of centerline, and then spray foam for the rest. It will be easy enough to check where your supports are by lightly tapping the floor and listening for the hard spot which will reflect the support, and then place your deck plate accordingly. I hope that this information helps and don't hesitate to contact me direct at (360) 393-3283 or scott@tritonmarine.us with any further questions or comments.

Sincerely,

Scott

Scott, thanks for the quick response! THAT is the kind of factory support we need and I think it will take you a long way with the Brats and new business.

Check out the Forum Site: Hull, Deck and fittings. Review the thread: Bilge question--Where is the water coming from? Very good discussion with regard to inspection port placement and other issues pertaining to the C-Dory cockpit deck.
