Like a high end c dory seen at FLIPS

It's just a Ranger"Tug" 23. They seem to sell a lot of them. Mystery Girl is a Ranger "tug" and attends many of our C Dory function.

The "coffin berth" is used for children, storage, or rarely for an adult.

Been a fan of the Ranger 23's since they first came out.

IMHO, the coffin berth is a joke. While it is a nice size storage area I can't imagine anyone wanting to sleep in it. Even if they did, where would one put all the stuff that is likely routinely stored there?

The outboard powered Ranger Tugs have a nice big trunk under the cockpit where the engine used to go. Lots of stuff can fit there.

I've seen other makes and models of boats that have sleeping arrangements like that. The Swedish built Albin 25 has two berths like that in the aft cabin. And, if you have to ask who would sleep in a berth like that, then you have never gone boating with kids! My two kids would fight over who got to sleep there!

I have a coffin berth in my Ranger Tug R25SC. I can't fit in it comfortably (I'm a big guy), but my elementary school age daughter loves it. And I like not having to turn the table into a bed for her.

There are thousands of sailboats which have "quarter Berths"--which are often the most desirable bunk on the boat, when at sea, and the boat is healing.. Most of these are single bunks, but some are double, or even slightly better (often charter boats, which want as many bodies in the boat as possible....

These "quarter berths" are the most secure bunk on the boat.
