It seems like a thread where we could post experiences with both good and bad customer service might be helpful. So, to start it off,

we have had good customer service from:

Diamond Seaglaze
Bennett Trimtabs
Shakespeare Antennas
Westmarine
Standard Horizon

We have had bad or non-existent customer service from:

Raymarine (before the FLIR takeover)

If you want to tell other brats about good or bad service so we can reward the good and avoid the bad, lets fill this thread up.

I've had great service from:
E.Q. Marine (which is where I get almost all of my maintenance done).
Scan Marine - who I finally needed recently for a glow plug repair on my Wallas (first repair on two difference Wallas heaters in 8 or so years of use).
Armstrong Nautical Products - I recently asked them if I could buy the plastic mount/holders for the swim ladder on my Tomcat and they offered to send me a pair for free.
Gary Estes Mobile Trailer Repairs - This is where I take my trailer if I have problems.

I've had poor service from:
Lake Union SeaRay (specifically the repair group in Redmond) - I wouldn't take my boat there for service if they did it for free.

I have had good service from
Kenyon International on our butane stove
Sim Yamaha in Wisconsin parts, warranty parts, advice
MinMar Marine, Sea Isle City, New Jersey great Yamaha service over the last 15 years.
Garmin replaced entire 4208 unit
Defender good service,great prices

Excellent service: Tom's outboard in Olympia, Wa. A really honest outboard repair shop. Theyve even fixed things and not charged a dime, showing me how to do it myself in the future. A great shop.

Good:
Redden Marine in Bellingham
Angola Canvas
EQ Marine
Fisheries Supply in Seattle
Les Schwab in Mount Vernon - trailer tires, brakes & bearings
NAPA store in Burlington - trailer parts
Port of Bellingham

Not so good:
Master Marine in Mount Vernon

We love the service we received from EQ Marine, and wish they were on the East Coast. Also, it was nice to hear that people have been happy with Scan Marine, I'm sure we'll need them if we ever need service on our Wallas.

Browns Point Marine in Florida seems to know a whole lot more about my Suzukies than the factory, at least in practical terms. Their internet service is fast and efficient as well. For me being in Utah, they are my lifeline for all things Suzy and more.

EQ has to be at the top of the list
Sportcraft in oregon city
west marine
king marine canvas
Squallicum Harbor
PooderBuilt fabrication

Need to add that those are on my "great" list

Alan Marine in Salem is really the only one on my "not so great" list. I haven't really had that much bad luck in the marine market.

Potter,
