Remembered watching on tv a few months ago about speed trials on Loch Ness. In 1952 Englishman John Cobb attempted to break the 200mph record. He broke 200mph but did not set an official record because his boat disintegrated at approx. 210mph

Sidenote: attempting to break the water speed record has a mortality rate of 85% !! Less than 15% survive !!

Now isn't that enough to make you glad you have a C Dory!!
