Lake Texoma Marina

We are looking for a marina on Lake Texoma to keep our boat while we learn everything we need to know about it and boating. Anyone know anything about the marinas or where to go for marina feedback? We are looking for DFW side of Texoma

We used to go to lake texoma in the summer when we lived in Arlington texas. I was 13 to 17 at the time. Caught my first striped bass there. I remember one time we drove to the ramp a hour before dusk to watch the sunset. It was august so the temp was over 100 and we were sweating like crazy. About that time a bunch of locals showed up and just started walking into the water right down the ramp. I was afraid that is was a bunch of baptist out to drown me but they had way to much booze on them for that. We joined them , about 30 people, and all stood chest deep watching the sunset and trying to stay cool. One of my favorite memory's.

dont know anything about any marines and it was in 80-83 so any thing I knew is way out dated. sorry.

I don't think anyone who survived the summer of 80 will ever forget it. 60 something straight days over 100 with back to back days of 113. I can remember some nights it was still; 90 at midnight.

Hope to be floating somewhere cooler next summer.

Just a comment about learning about boating. We've been doing this longer than we'd like to admit and learn something new every time we go out. Sometime we learn the same new thing several times. And then we go someplace different and glory be, there's something new there too. And, yes, sometimes we don't look too swift whilst we're learning, but then we're all in that same boat.

So learning about boating is part of the fun (in retrospect,) so enjoy the lake, And then try a different place and you'll find new things to learn there.

Just a thought, and understand I am not trying to sway you away from Texoma... since you live in Colleyville, Lewisville Lake is a lot closer. Depending on whether you intend to spend time on the boat and away from home, the distance may not be significant.
