Ken Frey of "Pelican"

Kenneth W. Frey, 77, passed suddenly at home on the 13th of June, 2019. Ken and wife Pat were avid boaters and owned "Pelican", a 22' C-Dory Cruiser. From Putnam, Illinois, Ken was for many years one of the organizers of the "Meet in the Middle" c-brat Mississippi River Gatherings. A good friend who will be dearly missed, RIP!
 
RIP Ken, and condolences to his wife and family. I guess we never know when, so should always be ready.

Barry, Thanks for letting us know about Ken. He was a wonderful man, and a perfect host for the "Meet in the middle" Gathering. He will be missed by all. This is a reminder how short and vulnerable life is.
 
Ken was the heart and soul of the Mississippi River Gathering.
He and Pat worked tirelessly every year to put on a great event.
We will be having a memorial service for Ken at this years gathering in Alton.
Many of us have logged miles on the water with Ken and Pat and he will be missed.

Ken warmly welcomed us to our first C-brat gathering and graciously shared his knowledge with us newbies. We will fondly remember him.

They did not make many like Ken. He made the world a better place. Kind and generous are the words that come to my mind. We will be praying for Pat.

Ken was a special person and a true friend. Kind, thoughtful, caring and always thinking of others. We will fondly remember all of our C-brat adventures with Ken and Pat… he will be missed.
