Joining the cult in Alaska

Hi everyone, I’m currently in process of purchasing a ‘05 25 in Alaska. This will be my first C Dory AND first boat.

My plan is to mostly cruise Prince William Sound out of Whittier, though I’m sure I’ll trailer down to Seward & Homer here n there.

Just wanted to say hi and thanks for all the great knowledge and wisdom you’ve already shared.

If anyone has advice on cruising PWS in general, beginning C-Dory ownership, etc. I’m all ears.

I look forward to seeing some of you on the salt.
 
Welcome to the C-Brats and good luck with the new boat. I’ve been cruising PWS on and off for 20 years and it’s still my favorite place to go in Alaska, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.
My first recommendation is to get the cruising guide to PWS by Jim and Nancy Lethcoe, lots of valuable information all around but especially useful for finding a good anchorage.
 
PWS is a magical place. I will second the recommendation to purchase the cruising guide to PWS, as it is very helpful.
