It's finally happening

Hey...I've been at Da Barn for 15 minutes already, don't see the local PA crew anywhere. Whatsamatta...you ol' timers already in bed?

Appreciate the offers, guys...but with only a couple exceptions, it's gonna be a super easy unload. All the heavy stuff we kept made it up here over the last 6 months. No appliances or couches...one big bed and a couple small dressers are all that will stress the muscles. For the most part, it's just boxes...which will get stacked in an empty garage bay to be gone through over the next few weeks.

I'll save up my favor requests for something tougher.

We've got Mom's 80th birthday this weekend, the family will leave shortly thereafter. PA party soon!

Bill and Dana,

Welcome to Washington! Happy to know that you arrived safely. Now that you're here, always be sure to dry thoroughly between your toes so that the moss doesn't grow.....You know that if we could have been there to help unload, we wouldn't have missed the opportunity. Looking forward to seeing you again.

Happy for your safe trip. Welcome to God's country -- and mine. Gma taught school there in 1893, Mom born there in 1898, I was born there in 1920.

When you and lovely Dana get settled, I'd like to visit you and your neighbors, and help clean fish. :P

Looking forward to seeing you on the water. Friday Harbor is coming up?????

Possible...but not committing just yet. Have a ton of stuff to do around here before I can start taking it easy. Here's a little preview of what awaits me downstairs...the boxes you can't see, outnumber those in the pic about 5 to 1. And, while I'll actually be able to get Da Nag out of the garage once that's been addressed - she's gonna need a little TLC to get back in ship shape.

It's been an embarrassment for me to no end...my own C-Dory hasn't been in the water in over two years, and I doubt there are many other '04's out there with less than 100 hours on the meter.

At least she's been indoors with empty tanks and the engines run dry...but man. I've got a solid week of prep to do before I'll be comfortable taking her out again.

No more excuses - all the above will soon change.

Sheesh, man - git yer priorities straight.

That Joke Poker pinball machine is by far, the most enticing non-boating toy in the picture.

Well welcome. We were having summer. You didn't by chance bring and of that r&+)>n up with you. I just washed my car..... again. Good to be home huh? Sorry I missed the unload party. BTW, that Pelican box and carrying device don't look all that uninteresting either. Hmmm, I could still come help.

Hope to see you out on the water soon.

Bill and Dana, congrats on the move and retirement. Since I retired I've been so busy that I've discovered to be true what other folks have said, "I don't know how I had time to work".

Bill, you may see a mountain of work there, my first thought: what a great garage! :thup Retiring, moving, and getting settled in all takes time. Been there, done that, and don't have the great garage to show for it.

Years ago, I thought a 4 car garage with a small apartment above it would be just right. Then, a 4 slip marina with a nice shop. Now, I'm thinking: a big storage unit/shop with RV hook-ups next to the water with a 4 slip marina. 8)

Good luck with the settling in. You are welcome on our boat anytime.

Best wishes,
Jim

That's just super Bill, You will love retirement, but forget not being busy...you will find retirement way busier that working....there are days that I miss (just for a minute or two) going to work...just so I could relax ..you will find a whole new world of fun things to do while the checks keep rolling in... it's fun
