Install new AM-FM-CD

I bought an AM-FM-CD combo on sale from WestMarine a couple of seasons ago. It came with hardware and accessories for in-dash installation. Any suggestions on where I can find a box to enclose it? That way the unit can be in the enclosure which in turn can be up on the electronics shelf or elsewhere. I checked Crutchfield's and didn't find any on their site. Thanks.
 
Something like this. I bought it at BW, But West Marine or most boat suppliers should have it.

Before you install the cd player I have something for you to think about. we had a c-d player but it just skipped a lot and was not useable away from the dock. It had skip delay or what ever they call it but it was just not enough. this year I found a radio with not only a cd player but a usb port on the front. Now we just down load cds to a thumb drive and use this. I bought two 8 gig drives for $40. I can get about 600 songs to each one. lot less space then all the cds and they dont skip get scratched or get it the way. works very well.
 
10-4 regarding CD player issues. My immediate plan is to use the stereo I already have, so I'm not planning to buy anything additional at this point. I'll keep this in mind for the inevitable future upgrade.

(The stereo I have is a Jensen CPM550 kit I bought in 04/07 - still in the box.)
 
I just bought a Sony marine CD am/fm I-pod compatible deck and two 6.5" speakers for 'Au Kai. Gonna mount the deck on the port side in a wood cabinet below the stock chart shelf. Figured on the CD skip issue hence the I-pod use. My question is anyone up here in the PNW install an am/fm antenna? How'd it work?

Mark. I just ran a splitter off the vhf antenna and It works great for fm. Works ok for am unless I turn on the depth finder and the gps. Then nothing but noise and beeps in the am. sounds like morse code. Its a shielding problem I think, not the antenna. You can pick up a slitter box for cheap at west marine. Oh the west marine in edmonds is 30% right now as its going to be closed.
 
Yeah, Tom I saw one in the Fisheries catalog. That's why I was asking. If the VHF antenna w/ splitter works it'd be one less antenna mounted on the arch, less wires running etc. Don't know how often I'd use it, but it could come in handy once in a while.
 
I originally had my VHF antenna on the port side just forward of the sliding window. When I mounted my radar arch I moved the VHF antenna up there and replaced it with a 8' Shakespeare AM/FM. Works great, even with all electronics (including radar) running. No noise, distortion, or anything.

My only complaint is the Commodore having the music going too loud for me to hear the VHF radio while cruising. :)
