Image of C-Dory 16 needed...

I'm in need of a high-resolution digital image of a 16-footer shot in the Northwest, B.C. or Alaska. I recently completed an article for Fish Alaska magazine about boats for Alaskan waters, and the 16 was mentioned by people I interviewed several times.

Unfortunately, the factory doesn't have any images (that they can find), so here I am, hat in hand, looking for one from you.

The good news is that if the photo/image is used, you get photo credit. The bad news is that all I can offer as reimbursement is a couple of copies of the magazine. There is no guarantee that the magazine will use the image, but I'd like to have it available for them.

If you've got one, please PM me, and I'll send you my address.

Thanks,

Keith

I towed my 16'er to Alaska and fish out of Craig off of Prince of Whales Isl. There was one other 16' at the fish camp. I did get some pictures of that boat fishing. I have pictures of my boat I can send you. I'll need some time to put them together. How soon do you need them?

Expectations of journalistic accuracy and/or integrity are pretty low nowadays. Just plug in a picture of a 22, put the fine print that says "from file" or similar, and call it good. Plus that'll give us subject matter for a future thread on the web site....

Steve-- If I can get one good photo in the next day or two that would be great...but the files need to be 1 MB or larger. Anything less than that won't be sharp enough for publication, unfortunately, unless they really decrease the size.

D-O-D--If I could do that (pass off the 22), I'd use my own for the shot. I do try to be accurate; besides, there probably will be plenty for a thread in the piece anyway.

Thanks, guys,

Keith

Gee, too late for "Fame & Fortune". :sad Oh well, my other boat was on the cover of "Trailer Boats" magazine. :thup We were at Stuart Is. Killing the Humpys and some photographer took our picture and wrote us up as catching numerous 4-6 lb. King Salmon. :smilep Talk about journalistic accuracy... :xseek Glad the Game Warden didn't read it. :wink
