I'm a new owner of a TomCat

As of yesterday afternoon, I purchased Ron's (YACD, F. Silvestris) Tomcat 255. Marc Grove at Wefings has helped by proving a good quote on a Float-On trailer and Corey who works with Marc will be taking the trailer up to Baltimore and will be bringing the boat out to Seattle (and returning with one or more Ranger Tugs). Now I will need to get SeaDNA prepared for sale but that will take awhile as I have it out on the hard at Neah Bay right now and I hope to get one more fishing trip in this year.

I'm excited as I always wanted a TomCat and this boat was lovingly cared for and nicely setup. I flew out to Baltimore to see the boat yesterday and purchased it mid-day yesterday. I had a good day on it with Roy and really enjoyed meeting him and having a late lunch/early dinner with him. I'm going to enjoy getting this TomCat set up for fishing and I know Joyce will be more willing to go to CBGT's now that we have a bigger boat with an enclosed head. Also, I finally have a boat with sufficient range to go tuna fishing out of Westport or even Neah Bay when the warm water makes it that far north.

I want to thank Roy for taking the time with me to answer all my questions and to take me out for a demo ride. In addition to thanking Ron, I want to thank Bob Austin who provided some good advice to me via PM's and who was the one to originally get the FloatOn trailers dialed for the TomCat. I also want to thank Warren (LoriAnne) for taking the time last week to show us his TC255 and for taking Joyce and I (and another couple) out for a test ride. I should also thank Roger (Dreamer) for also offering to show us his boat (I had an offer from both Warren and Roger within a few hours of making a request and it was more convenient for all to see Warren's boat). That helped seal the deal with Joyce.
 
congrats on the new boat. cant wait to she it. and just in time for the silvers in the sound. :D which downrigger are you going with? hows the boat set up?
 
Congratulations Roger. I know you and your wife will both enjoy, maybe for separate reasons, but still enjoying it together. Good times, good fishing. Will we see you at the Sequim Bay CBGT?

Great news Roger! I know you've been lusting after Tomcats for years. Sounds like you've obtained quite the fishing machine.

Congratulations Roger. I'm sure you will enjoy the Tomcat as much as Ann and I have. My son and I were out at Neah Bay last weekend. We don't have downriggers yet and as you know the fish were not in the Strait and on the surface as they have been in previous years so we just caught and released a few natives. That was a long tow to Neah Bay but we had a good time. Alex used his Droid to record this video of Dolphins.

Congrats on the new boat Roger. If you need an extra crew member when you are ready to go after those albacore give me a call. Be sure to give us a coho report if you do another trip to Neah Bay.
 
Congrats, Roger! I am sure you and Joyce will both will love it! We saw an unidentified Tomcat moored in Portage Bay as we were exiting the Montlake Cut yesterday, must not have been you, since yours is still on the East Coast...must be tough counting the days!
