I need an insurance company

I am relatively new to this site, I came in looking for a C-Dory, and I am closing on a 2003 C-Dory 25 Cruiser, so I do not have a lot of experience. Most of my boating took place in the 80's and 90's, so I have been removed from the industry and recreational aspect of boating for quite awhile.

Does anyone have any recommendations on what company might underwrite one of these boats? This particular boat was rode hard and put away wet, so I do have some work to do before it will be splashed.

I really appreciate all of the assistance I have already received on this site.

Thanks,

Randy

I've been very happy with Progressive for my boat. Bundled with home and auto, it reasonably priced for the coverage and they've been responsive when I've needed them.

Ditto for me.

I am currently insured, auto and home with USAA, and don't really want to change that arrangement, unfortunately, they do not do boats or motorcycles. I will check the rates of Progressive tomorrow. Thanks, again.

USAA now brokers their boat insurance through Progressive. I have USAA and still have boats insurance for one boat through USAA and the others are through USAA/Progressive and I have zero complaints.
I have compared my boat insurance through Boat/US - GEICO and USAA continues to beat them.

I currently have a boat insured through USAA/Progressive. Probably won't do it again. They would only use NADA to value the boat and motor. So it is currently insured for about half its' true value.

I use Geico Boat US. Mine is a 2004 Cruiser and had 20K as value last fall with original Honda power. I installed a 2020 Suzuki this spring and raised the agreed value to 30K Trailer is separate @ 4K. Premium is reasonable to me $279 includes towing.

I was able to get coverage from Progressive at an Agreed to value. I was rejected by Sea Tow insurance, because my previous boats were not within 8 feet of my C-Dory 25. I am good with the premium now, and will look to try and get a better rate this time next year.

I have USAA for home/auto, and Progressive on the boat. I think USAA contracts with Progressive for boats. But the main reason I went with Progressive is because of the "agreed value". I got a better rate going through a broker than through the Progressive website FYI.
