Getting ready for the 2011 Commercial Diving season...and I am looking for a small quick lake boat...like a 13' Boston Whaler with something like a 40 honda motor...anyone seen one lately? the few I have looked at are all over $10k and for me to use as a workboat is a bit high.... does not need to be a Whaler, but something kinda like that would be fine... I still will use my Tug for the big stuff...but I need a quick and light boat for speed (that the tug does not have) for those quicky jobs...does not need to be beautiful, I don't want a pig either..

Years ago, long before Rachel could drive, she had a Hobie 15' boat with a 50hp. Johnson...went like stink...but was not worth much....had a hard time selling it for $3500... and it looked great....

I need it to be fiberglass and something I can do my diving from...lots of my calls are for lost keys, rings, watches etc,...($60 dive) I would like something I can go and return quickly without breaking the bank>>

Anyone see anything in a West Coast Yard ? not a ocean boat..just a lake boat...and something with 30 to 60hp...

Easiest to contact me at jrapose@thegrid.net

Thanks
Joel

Joel - a jet ski might be a good option for that kind of thing. Small, lightweight, fast and used ones are available for a few $1000. Plus the jet ski might be fun just to screw around on.

Why do you need/want a small boat? Are you retrieving larger items than keys or than would fit on the back of a jet ski?

That's not a quick search Tom, that's practically a project! Good work.

BTW, when are you and Susan gonna name that poor unnamed 27 of yours??

Charlie

Tom - you might name the boat "Roseola" for the rash it gave you on your face.

I like that Jaxed thing...sure saves time...I saw several boats that looked pretty good.... I don't mind spending a bit more for a nice boat...

Thanks
