I need a contact at Honda other than Customer (dis)Service

The 2nd issue now with my Honda BF90D - first the ECU that ultimately had to be replaced and just now the leaky thermostat cover which turns out to be a material defect in the power head. My research indicates Honda is/was aware of both of these and had some recall activity but not for the 90 hp.

Both cost me over $1,000 (B.O.A.T.) and the latter, tho repaired at least temporarily, probably will cost me a new engine.

I need to register my displeasure.

Sure hope you can get some satisfaction. Honda's used to be very popular C-Dory power.

The motor is 11 years old and, yes, I know Honda's were popular on C Dory's. Mine - Plan C - was originally rigged by the good folks at EQ. My issue is the problems I've experienced were known to Honda. Yup, I'm out of warranty but they have not been cooperative or forthcoming about the problems or solutions to my concerns.

The problem that ultimately turned out to be the ECU was only discovered by eliminating all the other options, tune ups, etc. $$$ No specific diagnosis was available. They offered to sell me the replacement at full retail and, if the issue wasn't solved, would not take it back.

The "material defect" as it's being called by those in the field, of the leak around the thermostat was recalled on the other bigger horsepower models. On the 90, the powerhead replacement was too expensive so it was ignored.
