I got carried away with other post.

It's a great picture, really enjoyed the album and thanks for posting the pictures. Merwin, Yale and Swift are all great boating waters. The three reservoirs are fed from Mt. Adams snow melt and the water is as pristine as we get around here. :D

Dave-

That water in the photo is as beautiful a color of azure blue as I've ever seen. Is it that color in person, or is this an effect of the camera system?

Nice photo!

Joe – I believe the photos may have enhance the colors a little bit but my recollection is the water was very blue except in the shallower small coves (those less than 30 feet deep) which were an emerald green. The shallower the more intense the green.

Now this is coming from some one that is suppose to be color blind. When I was in the Army in 59 I got 49 out of 50 of their color chart test wrong. When I was still flying, I had to go with an instructor after my annual physical (because I would fail that color test also) and prove that I could tell the difference in colors. To pass the test is something I learned from observing and asking question also. I eventually learned what to look for and always passed with flying colors. I believe I see colors, just not the same colors you see and I have a very hard time telling the difference in many colors and some I cannot. I am still learning ways to compensate for this.
