Hypervent adhesive -- what kind of adhesive has people used?

"It seems to work quite well and my only complaint(s) are that (1) it's expensive, and (2) the bottom side of the Hypervent will tear-up your skin. Underneath it's like thousands of half inch nylon spikes ... and they're Sharp! I would recommend cutting it slightly narrower than the outside edge of the V-berth area (particularly around the porta-potty). It you cut it "flush," that raw edge will be uncomfortable on bare skin. (Don't ask me how I learned that.). You have probably seen green doormats made from stuff that looks like stiff fake grass. Hypervent is very similar.

For that very reason, I asked if the Hypervent is marring, scratching, or otherwise adversely affecting the gel coat under the mattress area in the Vee Birth.

Has anyone that is (or has ) used the Hypervent noticed anything like that?

Haven't noticed any marring or scratching to the gel coat.

HyperVent is hard to one's skin, but doesn't seem to affect gel coat. To retard condensation along the hull, we put in a backpack sleepingmat ($10 a Walmart). ...seems to take care of the problem (and makes the hull a little softer when you roll against it at night).

Like Casey says, no marring or scratches on the gel coat. Also, yes it can be hard on the skin, but we've had to do a lot of moving it around to access our storage under it & as of yet no blood drawn. For us it was money well spent & made the condensation much less a problem last year in SE Alaska compared to previous ones. We have always used the cheap Coleman sleeping pads to cover the sleeping area sides to prevent moisture from making direct contact with the bedding, but before the addition of Hypervent the moisture ran down & soaked the underside of the mattress. Hypervent is not cheap, but for sure it works as advertised. The price for us was as Bob estimated just over $100. We found it held well in place with no need for any glue or tape for joined sections.
