Howdy!

Thought I would say hi, instead of just lurk. Am looking at possibly getting a C-Dory late this year or early next, likely CD25 or Tomcat as my wife would prefer a boat with a separate shower/head! I like the ability to tow the boat, as well as the speed on the water compared to my dad's old Monk 36. That was a great boat but way too much teak!

Weclome and have a look around. Lots of boats for sale right now and lots more to be learned here on the site.

I logged on here learning as much as I could for a year or more before buying my boat.

Welcome !

One thing about the C-Dory, next time Lake Lanier gets low, you'll have enough water after many others are aground !

Welcome aboard. Pensacola is often a "sea port" for Atlanta, and if you are in the "hood" come for a ride on our Tom Cat. Talk boats and visit.

Kerry , any and all Brats are always welcome in Apalachicola . St George Island , The Intracoastal , St Joe Bay , we have some good cruising here . And a couple of interesting boats to see as well .

Welcome aboard Kerry!

Happy Boat Hunting and I can appreciate you wanting a head/shower enclosure. Many said they wanted that and that is exactly what got myself and Les Lampman working on a new floor plan for another brand of 25' boats that are built a bit heavier. Come on over to Nashville (once the water levels go down) and take a look see. Take a peak at the link below for a preview. Now...off to move boats and docks!!

Kerry,

Welcome. Lurking is OK, but really being here, sharing and participating, is where it's at. Good luck in your search. There are many great things here to see, learn and do. Check out a CBGT (C-Brat Get Together somewhere; go meet the Byrdman, and explore Marc's (Wefings) inventory. Or come on out to the Friday Harbor CBGT and see possibly the worlds largest collection of C-Dorys in one place at the same time. There is nothing like C-Brat hospitality.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I have a lot of stuff to learn....my experience with outboards is very limited, so no doubt I will be asking a number of fairly basic questions. I have a bunch of experience with small and medium size sailboats (I use to race a type of boat called a snipe) but that is not much help with the type of cruising I want to do.
