How to keep center window open?

The center window on our 2004, 19’ CD has one support, consequently in time the window finds it way back to the closed position.

The same happens with the forward hatch even though it has two supports.

Has anyone devised a simple, neat “block or wedge” to hold these hinged openings from closing?

Levity's center window also kept slipping to the closed position. An indent was drilled into the internal telescoping rod and a simple thumb screw was attached onto the external telescoping tube. Anyway, there's a pic in the Levity album.

Hello from Iowa,

Until I can get the support arms home, will I have a drill press available to drill needed holes for window adjustment (the arms are solid rods not tubing).

So, per Charlie’s suggestion, I did purchase some PVC tubing at the hardware store, split it with a dremel tool with a miniature saw blade.

It’s a little struggle at first to get the tubing to relax enough to install over the support arm/s but the idea works very well.

Regards,
