How to handle rough seas

He prefers the V-Berth -- which of course just makes him barf. (We should start a thread on barfing etiquette... hint -- keep a bucket nearby...)

Matt

Reminds me of a young man I ran across at the rail of our destroyer on a particularly rough afternoon after leaving port. He was rather green at the gills and when I asked him if he had a weak stomach, he replied "Hell no Sir, I'm throwing it as far as anyone!! :cry

Sea Sickness, Mal de Mer, whatever you want to call it is not fun! Never been quite there but close!

Tortuga Matt: Please post the link or the exact name of the app for buoydata. I searched the itunes apps but found no free reference to it. Only paid apps for noaa. thanks.

Charlie,
In reply to your comment on Mal de Mer, I have heard that there are only two kinds of people (no binary joke here either), those that have been sea sick, and those that will.

Unfortunately I have spent time in the first category on several Coast Guard ships.

And I will say, it definitely affects the "get homeitis" talked about earlier in this thread.
