How I can sell a wooden small cruiser

I have a 21' Redwing pocket cruiser that has been used Chesapeake Bay and other
places. Sleeps 2. Did Trent Severn Canal etc. Lauched 2012 with new Yamaha
25 high thrust. Aluminum trailer. Chesapeake Bay design.

I am not trying to sell it here but I have been trying for two years and would
appreciate suggestions on selling. I have well over $25K invested and would
take $11K to make room for our Venture 23 which replaced it.

I have run out of usually sources to sell on wooden boat lists and magazines

Turned out my wife loves cruising but wanted more room and comforts.

Thank you Baxter

First, have you listed it on the boating section of Craigslist? I would certainly try that first.

Second, and I speak from experience, it's difficult to sell a niche/wooden boat like that. I eventually had to part mine out. Sold the motor, sold the trailer, and basically gave the boat away.

Baxter,

A Redwing is a great little cruising boat. Did you built yours? I've drooled over Karl Stanbaugh's designs for year, thinking I'd make the Redwing 18 one of these years. If you have photos on the web, please link to them. I'd love to see the boat.

For those who haven't seen them, here's a link to CMD's web site.

Check with Tyboo or Da Nag to see if it would be OK to post it on CBrats. I know I personally wouldn't have an issue.

Hi Baxter,

I would list your Redwing on the WY and Seattle Craigs List. I have sold many small boats and a truck on the Seattle CL. People from Seattle/west coast do not hesitate to drive to Montana and Wyoming to purchase a boat or truck, seems they enjoy making a vacation of it.
