I see a lot of C-Dories and C-Brats over and over. Is this completely random or something you have to voluntarily include your photo?

Hi Stan,

Congrats on the new 16!

The photos were put into a file several years ago, and run kind of "a loop." The admins here have plenty on their plates. Feel free to post some of your photos on other threads, like this...

Your boat is a star!! :D

Best wishes,

Blue hull? Something custom?

I'd love to do something like that some day, very cool.

I have to agree, the blue hull does look sharp. But darker hulls do seem to lose their lustre a lot faster than the lighter hulls.
I do like our custom hull stripe on our C-Dory's, makes us even more special.

Martin.

once upon a time when I was a GlasPly nut, I was ordering a new one and wanted a dark hull. the owner of GlasPly told me he could do it but that in the long run it is better to have a light colored hull. I asked why and his reasoning is that a dark hull shows every scratch and ding from dock rubs to mooring ball rubs , beachings , etc. .

The solid color hull is an option. I happen to like the blue. I noticed my first scratch yesterday, tried one of the scratch remover products. It did a fair job. There are probably better ones on the market.

Just like vehicles. Black is a PIA to care for; white is easy. I'll never own another black car. That said, those large yachts w/ the dark hulls sure are pretty....but then if you can afford one of them, you have someone ELSE caring for them.

Hi Stan-I looked over your album and have a few questions and comments. I don't see a wiper on the port side front window. If your water is anything like ours, I would recommend an electric wiper. I don't see a VHS radio or antenna. Do you use a hand held?. I like the seats added in the cockpit, although the pedestals give me pause. That's a beautiful aluminum trailer. Enjoy that unique cruiser. She's a beauty!

I'd like to do something like this for paint although the scratch potential does have me nervous, especially over nighting at docks.
