I inadvertently left my ignition key on last winter for a couple of weeks, the Honda hour meter jumped from about 200 to 499; noticed it this weekend for the first time.
Didn’t think it would do that, thought the motor had to been running.
So what are my options here? I know there’s a couple of Honda mechanics here perhaps they’ll have an answer; I’d like to reset the meter if possible.
Sure not going to have much luck convincing someone the motor has 300 hours less then indicated on the meter.
Not that I’m going to sell the boat anytime soon, but have considered upgrading the motor to newer fuel injected Honda.
