Hi
First of all, let me thank everyone for their comments on my past performance problem with Fan-C-Dory. The change in prop pitch did the trick! The vessel gained weight over time (i.e. additional equip.) and slowed in speed vs. rpm. Many had suggested the change in prop, which returned my c-dory to her normal performance.
My c-dory has a Honda 150 for a main engine and over time I have replaced the mechanical tach. with an electric, also installed the Honda Fuel Flow Indicator. The fuel flow indicator has a Totalizer which has proved over time to be highly accurate. We are talking about with in a tenth of a gallon from indication to actual fuel boarded! However, the other day I filled my main fuel tank up and the difference between the Totalizer the actual fuel boarded was 8.5 gal. additional fuel from my indicator. The amount of fuel boarded was 72.4 gal. and the Totalizer indicated 64.4 gal.. The outside tempt. was with in 10 degrees of the prior fueling, the boat was at the same weight, the Totalizer was zeroed out immediately after the last fueling and I fueled to the auto shut off point both times. Any ideas out there?
