Our lighted boat parade was last night and it ends at a little marina (bait, boat ramp, and motel) just below the pond here, within sight. Also berthed there is a big tour boat like an old-time double-deck steamboat that a couple built over many years as a retirement project. It is usually the star of the parade, complete with huge music, mostly New Orleans jazz and Christmas carols, but the tornado a while back sank it. Though it is afloat again, it is still not operable BUT the people decorated it to the nines and got the music cranked up, and it was there for the other boats coming in. I like and admire that attitude. A happy holiday of your choice.
