headed to the islands this weekend

we are headed out to Sj's again this weekend and wanted to know if any one else was going. Love to meet up with people and share the weekend. We are looking to head to English camp on friday and shrimp on the way or maybe fish. The next three days are up in the area but I can guess that fishing, shrimping and anchoring out are on the list. mostly west end of the islands and maybe even canada for a day or two.

Looks like its going to be a Everett launch and a long run for us.

Depending on what the Washington state patrol decides to do in re routeing the traffic it could be a long wait to just get north. there are no easy quick routes around this bridge. And all are over smaller bridges on surface streets. This is the only large north south route from canada to western washington and the west coast with out going east of the cascades.

Hey Tom. Valerie is keeping me around on Saturday to help out with a garage sale :cry Weather permitting am going to try for Sunday on the west side of San Juan. A mile off Zero rock for Halibut. We will try hailing you.

Sounds fun Tom, Will see what the Straits are like later. Have too much work to do right now. Will sure hail you if I get into the islands.

we are thinking about heading into the islands this weekend also. thinking friday harbor but were pretty open to options have not looked at the tides yet except i know there is a big swing this weekend. been all around the islands but never actually went into any of the harbors or spent any time on land so this will be a first. usually just run over for fishing and then run back.

We are going tonight late or in the morning, work work work, when we can get out of here. The whole bridge thing is going to be mess. I can get off in conway and cut over to 20 that way. Just depends on how many others of the 70,000 daily vehicals have the same idea. Oh and Cnn called Mt vernon a " small town with nothing more then a walmart and a costco". fools

Hello to all.
We are former sailboat owners looking at an older ('83) Classic far away (2500 miles). If anyone will be around Lopez Island in the near future, would you be so kind as letting us take a quick peek? We live here, so any time you are by is good.
