We load our freezer every summer with fish and shrimp, but there is so much more.

That leafy seaweed that hangs from your anchor, dulce chips. 200°f for about 10 minutes, a favorite English pub treat; I bring it home every trip. Other seaweeds you can dry and crumble, make excellent seasonings for salads or?

Beach greens, saute with a little olive oil and seasoning, wonderful. Bring it home, blanch and freeze. We eat it as we walk the beach, has a rich buttery taste when young.

And than there is the berry harvest; blueberries, huckleberries (my favorite ) salmon berries, crowberries and watermelon berries. The islands of PWS are a berry pickers paradise.
 
Just harvested Nootka rose petals. There are big patches of them along our beach. I had a friend's young daughter hold the bag and I picked a year's supply. Put a handful in a jar of honey and in a few weeks you will have the best flavor you can imagine. Put them in an orphan sock (I have lots of singles) and my wife uses it as a sachet. Again, takes about a week for them to really give off a rose scent. The sachet will last over a year, but I always replace because it's fun to harvest.
