Apple pies just came out of the oven and the turkey went in. Supper in 5 hours. Smells good, now for a forest walk with the kids, then when we come back the house, it will smell like turkey.

My favorite day of the year.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Gobble gobble! :D :peace:

Happy Thanksgiving to all our Canadian family and friends!

Here at the Shores of Maui, we have a lot of Canadian owners and we always have a Thanksgiving Dinner down at the covered picnic tables by the pool. There is a sign up sheet and everyone signs up with the dish they are bringing. Turkey, hams, Costco chickens, casaroles (mispelled ), salads and desserts. Kate and I usually do a pan of roasted vegetables, garlic, rosemary, olive oil. It is 6am as I right this, 5 PM dinner.

As my mom used to say, "It's always a good day to give thanks for our blessings." Thanks for reminding me.

I remember a year when we did not have an official Thanksgiving. I was in the first grade and we moved from USA to Canada about the first of November. We were probably the only house in Port Alberni that did USA Thanksgiving in that little west Vancouver Island town.

Sorry this is late for our NOTB friends. Hope it was a good Thanksgiving. It is always good to take stock of our blessings.
