Happy Anniversary, Joe and Ruth!

Congratulations to all 4 of you.

We will make it to 34 in a week (and they also said to same of us !!)

Miss our C-Brat trips but good to know we are all still upright and creating trouble.

Hi Merv and Kathy,

Thanks so much for the congratulations.

We just had breakfast over at the Farmhouse (on Hwy 20) and thought about you. We miss our C-Brat trips, too. It is REALLY good to know that we are all still upright and creating trouble.

Joe says he's willing to sign up for another year so we can get to 62 years
(if I let him live).

Hugs, Ruth and Joe

Hi Merv and Kathy,

Early Happy Anniversary congrats to you two, too. (See how I got "to, two, and too" all in the same sentence?) Like you, I look back fondly on our C-Dory cruising days - glad we did all that while we were nimble and young-ish.

From coast to coast to coast, we met a lot of great boat people over the years. High among those are the C-Brat friends we made.

Are you still land traveling these days? We're about 6 weeks out from gearing up to head out in the motorhome again. It doesn't float, but the cruising is comfortable.

Hugs all around,
Jim & Joan

Hi Jim & Joan,

I fear the land travel days were terminated by a face to face, unpremeditated, (aren't they all) contact with an immovable object causing me time at "Harborzoo" and large donation to the Chinese Titanium industry which makes big truck and 5th wheel a bit too physical so they will be up for sale.

Do enjoy reading about your travels every day and can relate all too directly with your medical tales.

Talking about C-Brat gatherings has brought to mind a question that I must use to torment my doctors. "Why did my lips and tongue go blue every time we had a party with Joe and Ruth"?
I'll put it on page 25 of my list of "Conditions & Pills".

Ciao,

Merv & Kathy

Hi Merv and Kathy,

I get it. Joan and I have often said that retiring early was good for us. As the inevitable slowing down happens, we look for ways to "keep on keeping on." I wasn't aware of your "immovable object" encounter. Hope you are fully healed.

The older we get, the longer it takes to recuperate. Who the hell came up with that term "the golden years"?? Joan has taken to "cooking healthy" because, and I quote: "It is for your own good." Or, as I call it: all the fiber of sawdust, with less flavor.

Our best to you, Kathy, and the pooches,
Jim
