Seeking assistance from Brats with local knowledge of the Mississippi gulf coast. Any recommendations/suggestions for RV campsites, marinas, boat ramps between Gulfport and Pascagoula,Ms? We are planning on spending 2 nights ashore in the Rv and one night on Horn Island

The major part of the Gulf Islands National Sea Shore in that area is in the barrier Islands--which have been changed by the Hurricanes in the area. Davis Bayou did have (not sure status currently) of a campground and boat ramp. You may want to call their visitor's center or park headquarters to see what is available.

Thanks for the response. Planning the trip for the week of March 16th. We may end up parking the RV at Davis Bayou

That's going to be a great time. There is a boat show in Gulfport 20-22. Marc from Wefings is going to be there. I know that he is going to have a Ranger 29 tug. I'm not sure about C-Dory's but it's worth going just to visit with Marc and crew. I am judging a BBQ contest that same week-end next door in LA. I'm going to miss the show but plan on camping in area either going or coming or both. May be we can connect. There is a place in Long Beach that I always stop and get a shrimp poorboy.

Boat show is actually in Panama City Beach Fl, at Baypoint .March 20-22 . We will have C Dorys and Rangers in the water there . Roger will have BBQ sauce all over him ! Ill make a post later this week when we finalize what we are bringing .

Gulfport/ Panama City Beach whats the difference? They are only two hundred miles apart and in different states.  I'm still going to spend a couple of nights on the beach on the Mississippi coast. Thats why I have multi GPS, EPIRB, and SPOT and I can call 911 on the cell and ask the friendly operator "Where am I?" I'm never lost. I KNOW WHERE I AM. Do you?

Roger
