Two things of interest. We have open weekend Red Snapper season on weekends and then THUNDER ON THE GULF 13-17OCT....

I am thinking about heading down for the Thunder on the Gulf Boat racing events....and hey.... why not pop out and snag some snapper from 12:01am Friday thru closing time on Sunday??

Anyone else heading down?

Also...may spend a few days out on the Cumberland knocking about and enjoying ALOYSIUS this week.... just to be sure she is ready to live on for a week in the Gulf area the following week.

Pat are you trailering down to the coast or coming down river ? Loree and I ended up going to the NC gathering we had a great time we ended up going boatless because of time restraints with my part time job . when would you be down there in Alabama time frames . we have a chicago trip(14-17) keep in touch . Jim
 
Hey Jim: Yes I have always wanted to make the NC gathering too but have failed to so far. Not sure on my trip to the Gulf. Couple of options and how much goes on at Sherryl's job with APSU's homecoming weekend events around 8-9Oct.... If I get things done in good order, and, I can get a kitchen pass to drift on down early and just stay on the hook a few nights prior to the boat racing stuff....with Red Snaper season openings Fri-Sunday, I may attempt a double weekend for 8-18Oct staying in the resort the last few days of the trips to get the concert tickets. I have to call some POCs and get some things clear on dockages and events with the package tickets.

So...either around the 8th or 13th I should mozy on down. Ray Anderson of Anderson Marine (engine shop) and his wife Joy may be with me and should know that by either days end or early next week.
