Great deals around

If anyone finds a good deal on a C-dory 22, send me the link. I'm ready to buy.

The only ones I'm finding are ones that are either way over priced (some are priced more than a new one), or have been sitting unused in a field for a few years, with no maintenance and needing work.

Maybe a few more will come on the market at the end of the summer . . .

That's a nice boat.

Unfortunately we now live in Florida, and paying to have a boat transported across the country from Washington to Florida is prohibitively expensive.

The sad thing is we just sold our home in Coupeville on Whidbey Island, right across the bay from Pt. Townsend, and have moved permanently to Florida.

If we still lived on Whidbey, we'd be a short ferry ride from that boat, as well as a few other C-Dory's to choose from.

Down here in Florida, there aren't that many around.

I'm not giving up though - the right boat will come on the market eventually.

Hmmmm? I wonder if the rest of the "for sale" boats are accepting almost 20% less than asking price?
I might have to bite the penalty and dig into my 201K

JohnMark,

Have you had a chance to look at the deals on the home page? There are a few good deals on your side of the Mississippi.

The 1996 22' Angler in Florida is going for $19,000. The 1995 18'8 Toland is going for $19,750 and the 2003 22' Cruiser is going for $27,500.

Those all sound pretty good to me.

I'll keep listing what I find when I find them - even if they are sold.

Thanks - Please keep listing the ones you find, especially the unsold boats.

I search c-brats, paypal, ebay, boattrader, yachttrader, iboats, etc every day looking for a 2000 or new 22 cruiser with a honda 90 or twins on a trailer for under $30,000 and haven't found any.

When I find the right boat, I'll buy it.

You are probably looking at a lot of "broker" boats - Most of the boats I am finding are focusing on individual owners.

With the exception of that 25 for sale I posted - most broker boats are over priced in my opinion - especially if they are "c-dory" focused brokers.

What area of the country are you in? I can send you some listings. I don't bother with boattrader, yatchtrader, etc for searches - they are mainly brokers listing them.

I'm always looking for deals for myself - so I might as well help people who are also looking.

I'm in Florida. Looking for C-dory 22 in good condition, with a trailer.

Any help in finding one would be greatly appreciated.

Good eye, Harper! G-Bill had asked for info on a CD 19 or 22 ANGLER on his other Boats Wanted posting so I knew he couldn't lose whatever it was. :D

Unfortunately, I didn't have a "good eye" last year when I drove over 600 miles (both ways) to see this boat. I didn't realize it was an angler until seeing it. The boat was dirty at the time but appeared to be in the condition advertised. It has apparently not been used since then since it was said to have only 6 hours then. Since I was not interested in the angler model I didn't look at engine hours, etc. The boat did have bottom paint. I believe the "dealer" referred to in the ad has or did have a CD dealership in New York.

Just didn't want anyone to make the same mistake I did.
