Good satellite graphic of Lake Powell

That's the confluence of the Colorado River, Dirty Devil River and North Wash. The location of the former Hite marina. The lake has been dry, except for the river channel there for a number of years. It's not representative of the whole lake. While the lake level is down about 100' from full pool, there's still plenty of water for boating activities. You just have to launch at Bullfrog or Halls in the upper end of the lake.

The small white rectangle, left of center and 20% of the way up from the bottom, and right of the river channel, is the Hite concrete launch ramp. It's probably 2000 feet long. In the 1999 picture it was about half covered with water. Hite was always our preferred place to launch. I last launched a 22' angler there in 2012, but it was off of the dirt, not the concrete ramp.
