Where do you send for this reimbursement? Sounds like a good deal. Guy

Guy, if you google Washington State Fuel Tax Refund you will be able to locate their site and once the site is located you can download an application.
I've been a participant of this for several years but to give you an idea of how much money you might receive I will share the following information from my last two claims.

For the period 3/10 to 1/11 I used 120 gallons of boat fuel and was reimbursed $21.41.
For the period 4/09 to 12/09 I used 225 gallons of boat fuel and was reimbursed $44.74.

The state will also issue you a "Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax Refund Permit", that if you wish, to carry it with you, you may have the exemption taken care of at the fuel pump of a "marine fuel dealer" when you are on the water.

This isn't a lot of money "flowing" back into your pocket, but every "trickle" helps. :wink

Dave gave me the heads up re: the refund and we've done it the two yrs we've owned 'Au Kai. First yr we got back ~$70 last yr only ~$45 (we didn't go on as many long trips).

It's primarily the principal for us; I wanna make some state employee go through the motions just like they make us do. I know it's petty; but IMO they get too much of our money to start with, so this is my little payback.
