I'm considering acquiring a new GPS Chartplotter and am trying to decide between the Garmin GPS Map 441 and 540. The 441 is the 4" screen with the capability for the weather overlay (which I'll never use) and the 540 is the 5" screen with no capacity for wx overlay (and I assume is being replaced by the 541).
I currently use the Garmin Colorado hand held chartplotter (which I like a lot) and a laptop w/ Maptech's charting program which is great except for the challenge of having to set up the laptop each trip and having it be somewhat in the way.
For those who have the Garmin 440 or 441, or the 540, 541, or 545, how do you like them? Is it worth spending the extra $$ for the larger screen (5" instead of 4")?
Thanks!
Matt
