Garmin autopilot install question?

I'm so late to the party this year and hope to get Shearwater in the water this weekend.
Did a last minute purchase and picked up a Garmin GPH-10 autopilot so have been heads down with the install (write up coming soon).

The question
Has anyone installed an AP and bled the system?
The very vauge info I have found and the Teleflex instructions say "treat the AP pump as a second helm" when bleeding. Hmmm no fill port or steering wheel but other than that it's just like a second helm.......
Is the trick to first bleed by running the AP pump while feeding oil at the helm OR
Bleed starting at the helm, then run the AP pump and bleed from helm again?

Be nice to cut down the learning curve so if anyone has experience I'm open to suggestions.

Thanks

In a two helm system, only the upper helm has a fill port. Use your helm as the fill port. Run the auto pilot pump each direction with the fill bottle at the helm and opening and closing the drains at the motor.

Once you have clean fluid with no air bubbles, do the bleed at the helm and you'll be good to go.

Thank you so much Matt, was thinking that would be route but nice to have some confirmation.

Looking forward to getting this done and going fishing
