I have boat in a slip at Cayuga finger lake since beginning of season .I Live two hours away, took trailer home. Cant believe how scummy hull is. I thought freshwater would not get boat hull that slimmy green. So my question is would this build up cause a transducer to stop reading bottom depths? It was reading 410ft in 12ft of water. Im going to jump in and try cleaning it this weekend with magic eraser or something. I guess its a thru hull transducer. What would be trouble shooting ideas if cleaning doesn't work? Just bought a downrigger and want to get this working so I can fish. Thanks for ideas. Hope a pressure washer will clean hull at end of season.
