Fuel tanks

Hello again. We are very close to finalizing our Tomkat deal but a few things came up during our survey that we want to delve in to further before committing ourselves. During the survey it was noted there was water in the fuel separator of the port engine. Non ethanol fuel has been used for at least the last two years. Now we are attempting to find out how it’s getting in there.
Has anyone had an issue with their fuel tanks and having to replace them? If so how was that process? We can’t find any easy way to get to the tanks.

Condensation could be one source. Some water in the separator is not necessarily a bad thing IMO. That's what they are there for and it seems to be doing the job.
