Anyone out there considered or installed a flybridge on your C-Dory??

I want to buy a 255 Tomcat so bad it hurts. However, the wife's only request is a flybridge. Looking at the aftermarket now to see what's availbable.

If anyone has any experience in this regard, your information would be appreciated.

buy the Tomcat, duct tape a lawn chair on the roof :)

Why not carry it one step further and duct tape the wife to the chair?

But seriously, I seem to remember that the factory built a few boats a long time ago with a fly bridge - they weren't big sellers and they quit doing it. However, you might simply ask them if the could/would do it now.

You're really getting some elevation on a trailer with a flybridge. It's already over 13' from ground to radar top. You'd have at least 2 more feet with radar mounted flat on top of a f.b.

I have thought seriously about adding a fly-bridge on the Clara Mae, but gave it up mainly because of the bridges I routinely go under. I think it would be a great addition though, especially on a TC-25.

Take a look at FanTC photos for flybridge

Heard a story a while back about some guy that could not put is boat on plane ? Finally I found out who it was! Got too put that one in my favourite BC fishing forum!....

Been done...on an episode of Red Green, plus how to make a surfboard out of an ordinary plastic patio table with your chain saw and duct tape...

Here's the thread on which I remember seeing the flybridge on a CD. In it you'll find a link to some pictures Da Nag took of a 26' with a flybridge.
