Florida boat registration

Living in Illinois, buying a boat in Florida. The boat will be on a lift in Florida year around; we will use it one month a year. Do I register it in Illinois or Florida? Thanks for any advice.

Even if you were registered in Illinois, you would have to register in Florida, if the boat was kept there more than 90 days.
 
Florida, for too many reasons to list!
 
Boats are typically titled and registered in the state of principal use, not necessarily in the state you live in (unless that is also your state of principal use). So you'd register in Florida in this case.
